Barbara Wilson's Crunchy Granola Recipe

Ingredients

500 mL (2 cups) rolled oats
125 mL (½ cup) wheat germ
60 mL (¼ cup) soy flour
125 mL (½ cup) raisins
125 mL (½ cup) sesame seeds
125 mL (½ cup) sunflower seeds
125 mL (½ cup) roasted soybeans, chopped
75 mL (1/3 cup) chopped dates
3 mL (¾ tsp) cinnamon
3 mL (¾ tsp) nutmeg
1 mL (¼ tsp) salt
125 mL (½ cup) liquid honey
60 mL (¼ cup) soy oil

Directions

Combine rolled oats, wheat germ and soy flour.
Add raisins, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, roasted soybeans and dates.
Add spices; mix thoroughly.
Combine honey and soy oil; pour over dry ingredients; mix well.
Spread in roasting pan; bake in 120°C (250°F) oven for 1½ hours,
stirring every 15 minutes.
Cool. Store in air-tight container.

Serves 10.
